Inspired by a love of vernacular architecture, a desire to improve my sketching and an overwhelming call to travel, I decided to take a break, a travelling sabbatical, away from being an architect.
To do what I’ve been dreaming of for years – to travel on an Enfield Bullet from India, a place I love, back to my home in the Lakes in the UK. In between I’ll be travelling overland – to explore breath-taking landscapes and visit beautiful places along the route – searchimg out traditional craftsmanship, local materials and local techniques used in a way unique to that region.
I just needed to learn how to ride and buy a bike!
